Local Man Discovers Eggs

Jayson Ukele, a recent transplant to the country lifestyle in Browns Summit, just discovered three brown eggs in his chicken coop. He gazes over the matte brown finish of the eggs in wonderment and is surprised that his efforts have produced actual eggs. "I just can't believe I am holding three eggs in my hands!" said Ukele.

Ukele has spent months planning and implementing this rise to chickendom. He sat on ideas for his coop for weeks as he contemplated the best location and coop structure possible for his feathered friends. After his ideas had hatched, he carefully measured and sawed his way into hen house perfection.

A natural fence, using logs cut from his own land, was put into place with the help of his very capable father-in-law, Dewey Linebery, a retired resident of Elk Creek, VA. Lineberry, having had dozens of chickens of his own over the years, offered this, "Don't let Wanda get flogged, Stephen is not here to protect the rooster!" Apparently, referring to a prior incident of rooster martyrdom.

When Ukele's wife has been asked about how she feels about having a chicken coop in her yard, she was quoted as saying, "It's all part of our emergency preparedness plan." Apparently, Ukele sold his wife on the idea of having chickens as a well disguised plan for emergency preparedness- food storage that falls in line with her doctrinal beliefs of which she is affiliated. Ukele however indicated he really just wanted to watch them for his own amusement.

As Ukele holds the freshly laid eggs in his hands, he contemplates all the delicious meals he can now make. Suffice it to say there will be "egg on his face"...very soon.
